The Township Municipal Office is closed to the public for all purposes until further notice
The Township of Amaranth has declared an emergency in response to a flooding situation at the Township Municipal Office. The Township has taken this step, most importantly, to ensure the safety and well-being of our staff and residents.
During this emergency, Council and Staff are working to ensure that the municipality operates effectively and continues to provide essential services. Staff can be contacted by telephone at 519-941-1007 or email at info@amaranth.ca. Staff will endeavour to respond to phone messages and emails during regular working hours, but an immediate response may not be possible. Please consider using the drop box at the office for correspondence as it will be checked on a regular basis.

Online Credit Card Payments Now Available
The Township of Amaranth now offers a convenient way to pay your property taxes, water account, building permits, dog tags and municipal invoices online using a credit card with our secure payment provider (fees apply).
What You’ll Need:
19-digit roll number (found on your property tax bill)
Customer number, invoice number or building permit number located on your invoice
The amount you wish to pay
A valid credit card
Note: When paying using a credit card a convenience fee will be applied to the payment amount.

The Township of Amaranth is partnering with The Commissionaires for By-Law Enforcement Services.
The Township of Amaranth Municipal Office will be closed on Monday October 9, 2023 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
The December 6, 2023 Council meeting has been cancelled and rescheduled for Wednesday December 13, 2023 @ 9:00am.
The Waldemar Pumphouse Water Storage Upgrade project is being completed to expand the water system to
accommodate projected growth within Waldemar, and to increase the additional water storage available for fire protection. The Township has received the necessary funds from the developer to proceed with the project.
Station Street reconstruction works are scheduled to commence on September 14, 2023, barring delays due to weather and unforeseen circumstances. We anticipate the full and rolling closures will be in effect until Dec 18th, 2023, barring delays due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
The September 20, 2023 Council meeting has been cancelled. Next regular meetings are scheduled for October 4th @ 9:00am and October 18th @ 6:00pm.
9th Line reconstruction works are scheduled to commence the week of July 31st, 2023; weather permitting. There will be a full road closure implemented to facilitate the above-said work between County Road 109 and Station Street. We anticipate that the full closure will be in effect till Sep 30th, 2023; weather permitting.
The Town of Mono will be replacing a road cross culvert on 30 Sideroad, approximately 350 m west of Blind Line. The work is expected to commence sometime in August and take 2-3 weeks to complete, weather permitting.
The Township identified concerns with the above noted intersection. The County of Dufferin completed a review of the intersection, a full copy of the report can be found in the May 25, 2023 report from the INFRASTRUCTURE & ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES
