The Township Municipal Office is closed to the public for all purposes until further notice
The Township of Amaranth has declared an emergency in response to a flooding situation at the Township Municipal Office. The Township has taken this step, most importantly, to ensure the safety and well-being of our staff and residents.
During this emergency, Council and Staff are working to ensure that the municipality operates effectively and continues to provide essential services. Staff can be contacted by telephone at 519-941-1007 or email at info@amaranth.ca. Staff will endeavour to respond to phone messages and emails during regular working hours, but an immediate response may not be possible. Please consider using the drop box at the office for correspondence as it will be checked on a regular basis.

Online Credit Card Payments Now Available
The Township of Amaranth now offers a convenient way to pay your property taxes, water account, building permits, dog tags and municipal invoices online using a credit card with our secure payment provider (fees apply).
What You’ll Need:
19-digit roll number (found on your property tax bill)
Customer number, invoice number or building permit number located on your invoice
The amount you wish to pay
A valid credit card
Note: When paying using a credit card a convenience fee will be applied to the payment amount.

On Wednesday August 10, 2022 the Council of The Township of Amaranth will hold a public meeting regarding a Fill Management Plan proposal at 513151 2nd Line, Amaranth in order to receive public input on the proposal. All interested parties are invited to attend the Public Meeting.

The County of Dufferin is embarking on an extensive public consultation of the Recreational Use Policy for the Dufferin County Forest. The goal is to have a broader Recreation Plan for both the County Forest and the County-owned Rail Trail, with consideration for the best ways to use these spaces as well as what services and facilities to implement in the future.
