Township of Amaranth Approves Drinking Water System Financial Plan

Public Notice – April 20, 2026

On March 18, 2026, Council of the Township of Amaranth passed a resolution, pursuant to Ontario Regulation 453/07, regarding the Township of Amaranth Water and Wastewater Financial Plan.

A Financial Plan is a requirement for drinking water systems under the Safe Drinking Water Act, 2002.  This financial plan represents one of the key elements required to obtain or renew a Municipal Drinking Water Licence.

Online Credit Card Payments Now Available

The Township of Amaranth now offers a convenient way to pay your property taxes, water account, building permits, dog tags and municipal invoices online using a credit card with our secure payment provider (fees apply).

What You’ll Need:

19-digit roll number (found on your property tax bill)

Customer number, invoice number or building permit number located on your invoice

The amount you wish to pay

A valid credit card

Note: When paying using a credit card a convenience fee will be applied to the payment amount.

Community Market

The Township of Amaranth is excited to host the Amaranth Community Market. Come out and support our local farmers, crafters, artisans, and business owners and the wonderful products they bring to our community. Please note that the Community Market will be cancelled in the event of rain or extreme heat.

Calling Market Vendors


We are seeking local farmers, crafters, artisans, business owners and more to take part in an outdoor Community Market being held at the Amaranth Municipal Park.

Tentative Dates: June 10th, July 8th and August 12th, 2026
Wednesday Evening from 6-8pm *Soccer Nights*
Community BBQ to be held August 12th starting at 5pm
* Date will be cancelled in the event of rain.

Registration deadline is June 3rd, 2026

There is no registration fee but registration is required.
All prepared foods must be made in a health inspected kitchen. (Unless otherwise noted) No food preparation permitted on site. (Food trucks, cooking stations etc.)
All vendors must have their own liability insurance and provide the certificate prior to the first market. Insurance is available for purchase through the Township.
