The Township Municipal Office is closed to the public for all purposes until further notice
The Township of Amaranth has declared an emergency in response to a flooding situation at the Township Municipal Office. The Township has taken this step, most importantly, to ensure the safety and well-being of our staff and residents.
During this emergency, Council and Staff are working to ensure that the municipality operates effectively and continues to provide essential services. Staff can be contacted by telephone at 519-941-1007 or email at info@amaranth.ca. Staff will endeavour to respond to phone messages and emails during regular working hours, but an immediate response may not be possible. Please consider using the drop box at the office for correspondence as it will be checked on a regular basis.

Online Credit Card Payments Now Available
The Township of Amaranth now offers a convenient way to pay your property taxes, water account, building permits, dog tags and municipal invoices online using a credit card with our secure payment provider (fees apply).
What You’ll Need:
19-digit roll number (found on your property tax bill)
Customer number, invoice number or building permit number located on your invoice
The amount you wish to pay
A valid credit card
Note: When paying using a credit card a convenience fee will be applied to the payment amount.

Pursuant to s.16.9 of O.Reg. 239/02 as amended, the Township of Amaranth is declaring a Significant Weather Event in respect to blowing snow and reduced visibility, starting at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 23rd, 2022 and continuing until further notice. Users of the roads in the Township are advised to avoid any unnecessary travel and to use caution if doing so.
Due to the inclement weather expected on Friday, the Municipal office will be closed.

There will be NO waste collection on Monday, December 26th due to Boxing Day. Please place all Garbage, Blue Boxes & Green Bins at your curb ONE DAY LATER next week. Double Up by placing up to TWO un-tagged bags of garbage at the curb on your collection day between December 27th – December 30th.

The Township of Amaranth will receive applications for the position of Fence Viewers. The Line Fences Act provides a procedure, administered by the local municipality, for resolving line fence disputes between adjoining properties.
