  • Pride Flag Raising June 1, 2023

    The Pride Flag was raised today at the Township of Amaranth Municipal Office. The Township proclaims June 2023 as Pride Month in the Township. The Township supports an inclusive and respectful community where all citizens can live, work and play in a safe environment.

    The Multicultural Flag was raised today at the Township of Amaranth Municipal Office. The Township proclaims June 27, 2023 as Multicultural Day in the Township. The Township supports an inclusive and respectful community where all citizens can live, work and play in a safe environment.

  • Sikh Heritage Month - April 2023

    The Township of Amaranth does hereby proclaim April 2023 as Sikh Heritage Month.

    The Township recognizes the important contributions that Sikh Canadians have made to communities in Ontario in social, economic, political and cultural fabrics.

    The Township of Amaranth does hereby proclaim February 22, 2023 as Human Trafficking Awareness Day to raise awareness of the sinister crime of human sex trafficking

    Black History Month Posters currently on display in the Town of Shelburne Town Hall until the end of February.  Please stop by to view the display Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

  • Black History Month - Flag Raising February 1 2023
    The Township of Amaranth does hereby proclaim February 2023 as Black History Month. Whereas, Black History Month is an opportunity to acknowledge and honour the contributions of Black Canadians, both past and present and recognize their contributions made to the Township of Amaranth and Canada.

    The Township of Amaranth Council is seeking Volunteers for the following Committees:
    - North Park Committee (30th Sideroad area in the North East section of the Township)
    - Waldemar Park Committee
    - Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Community Advisory Committee
  • Black History Month - Flag Raising 2023

    On Wednesday February 1st at 8:30am, the Council of the Township of Amaranth, in association with the Dufferin County Canadian Black Association (DCCBA), will recognize Black History Month by raising the Pan-African flag at the Township Municipal Office.
