On Wednesday, July 10, 2024 the Council of the Township of Amaranth will hold a public meeting, pursuant to section 12 of the Development Charges Act, 1997, as amended, to present and obtain public input on the Municipality’s proposed development charges (D.C.) by-law and underlying background study.

Council of The Township of Amaranth has supported Sunday Gun Hunting within the Township. This will not be formally implemented or allowed until the Provincial Regulation has been officially updated.

A Special Budget Meeting will be held on Monday January 29, 2024 at 6:30pm.

Ironwood Energy Storage L.P., as the Project Proponent, is pleased to invite you to a second Public Community Meeting (PCM) to be held on December 8, 2023. Our aim is to provide you with the opportunity to raise any questions that may have come to mind since our first PCM on November 16.

Council will be holding a Special Meeting of Council on November 24, 2023 at 4:00pm.

The December 6, 2023 Council meeting has been cancelled and rescheduled for Wednesday December 13, 2023 @ 9:00am.

The Waldemar Pumphouse Water Storage Upgrade project is being completed to expand the water system to
accommodate projected growth within Waldemar, and to increase the additional water storage available for fire protection. The Township has received the necessary funds from the developer to proceed with the project.

Station Street reconstruction works are scheduled to commence on September 14, 2023, barring delays due to weather and unforeseen circumstances. We anticipate the full and rolling closures will be in effect until Dec 18th, 2023, barring delays due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
