The Township of Amaranth does hereby proclaim April 2023 as Sikh Heritage Month.
The Township recognizes the important contributions that Sikh Canadians have made to communities in Ontario in social, economic, political and cultural fabrics. Sikh Heritage Month is an opportunity to remember, celebrate and educate future generations.

GRCA Flood Message #4 – Updated Combined Flood Warning/Flood Watch

The Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) is issuing the following updated combined Flood Warning/Flood Watch message.
The strong low-pressure system that moved into the region early Friday, March 31, resulted in 30-60 mm of rain throughout the Grand River watershed. Thunderstorms overnight resulted in periods of intense rainfall. Watershed received an additional 10 to 20 mm of rain through the day on Saturday.

Credit Valley Conservation - UPDATE April 1 2023

Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) advises that the Credit River watershed received 30-35 mm of rain during Friday March 31st and overnight thunderstorms. Also, the Environment of Canada is forecasting risk of thunderstorms this afternoon.
As a result, all rivers and creeks within CVC’s watershed are experiencing higher than normal flows and water levels. While no widespread flooding is occurring, water levels of the Lower Credit River and its major tributaries (West Credit River and Silver Creek)...
