GRCA Flood Message #4 – Updated Combined Flood Warning/Flood Watch

The Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) is issuing the following updated combined Flood Warning/Flood Watch message.
The strong low-pressure system that moved into the region early Friday, March 31, resulted in 30-60 mm of rain throughout the Grand River watershed. Thunderstorms overnight resulted in periods of intense rainfall. Watershed received an additional 10 to 20 mm of rain through the day on Saturday.

Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) advises that the Credit River watershed received 30-35 mm of rain during Friday March 31st and overnight thunderstorms. Also, the Environment of Canada is forecasting risk of thunderstorms this afternoon.

Please be advised that the road conditions are changing with the thawing, rain and weather which will cause difficult road conditions resulting in many potholes on our roads. Our Roads Crew is out doing as much as possible with the changing weather to get the roads graded and repaired.
