Committees & Boards
Public Members are appointed by Council to certain special purpose bodies, concurrent with term of Council. Anyone interested in serving must be at least 18 years old, a Canadian Citizen, a resident of the Township and not employed by the Board or the municipality. Below is a current list of Committees and Boards.
Council has approved the formation of a committee to explore the concerns of stray bullets and discharging of firearms within the Township. The role of the committee is to explore the concerns and provide avenues of resolution to Council.

A Joint Police Services Board has been established to represent the Township of Amaranth, Township of East Garafraxa and the Town of Grand Valley.

Council has approved the formation of a committee to explore the concerns of property standards within the Township. The term of committee appointment would be until October 2026, or when the committee is no longer required.
