Flags at the Township office have been lowered and remain that way for 215 hours. To honor the 215 children whose remains were found at the former Kamloops residential school and all indigenous children who never made it home, the survivors, and their families, Amaranth will be flying flags at half-mast for an hour that each child was found.

Purpose of the Committee: At the request of Council, Deputy Mayor Chris Gerrits and Councillor Steve Niedzwiecki will be leading a team of volunteers to comprise The North Amaranth Park Committee. The North Amaranth Park Committee will make suggestions to Amaranth Council on issues related to the current and future needs of parks and recreation in the Township.
