Interim tax bills, pre-authorized payment plan forms and the always informative newsletter will be mailed by the end of January 2022, giving ratepayers ample time to review and make payments by the installment due dates of February 24th and May 26th.
The Township is now offering pre-authorized payment plans for property taxes. Please see the link below for more information and the enrollment form.
Tax Pre-Authorized Payment Plan
Payments are accepted through the secure drop box at the Township office or most financial institutions allow for payments via telephone or online banking. Cash payments will be accepted on an appointment basis only as the Township office remains closed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Please call the office at 519-941-1007 to book an appointment. Appointments will be staggered daily Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Tax payments may be made by any of the following methods:
* To avoid interest charges the full installment amount must be received by the Township of Amaranth on or before the due date.
Late Payment Charges
Tax Certificates are available upon request for a fee of $75.00
Zoning Compliance Reports are available upon request for a fee of $75.00

For questions regarding your property assessment, please contact the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) directly at www.mpac.ca or 1-866-296-6722.
Requests for Reconsideration (RFR) for regular or amended Property Assessment Notices can be submitted any time after notices are mailed and before March 31 of the applicable tax year. RFRs may also be filed on a supplementary or omitted Property Assessment Notice. In these cases, the deadline is March 31 of the year in which the Notice is mailed or 90 days after the mailing of the Notice, whichever is later.
