LAWN TRACTOR STOLEN IN BROAD DAYLIGHT IN DUFFERIN COUNTY

(Town of Mono, ON) - Officers from the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating the theft of a lawn tractor from a business which occurred in broad daylight in the Town of Mono.

The theft took place on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at approximately 7:50 a.m., from the Peevey Mart located on Highway 9 in Mono. The suspect drove a U-Haul rental truck with the rear plate obscured. There was a second vehicle involved described as a white GMC Safari cargo van that also had the plate obscured.

The driver of the U-Haul rental truck is described as:

  • Male, dark skinned, black pants, black running shoes with white soles, dark coloured sweater or hoodie with a white "Puma" logo, dark coloured toque with white trim.

The driver of the white GMC Safari cargo van is described as:

  • Male, white, wearing a black jacket, blue shirt, black pants, white running shoes, eye glasses with salt and pepper coloured hair.

The stolen lawn tractor is described as a 2021 54" Husqvarna Model YTH24V554, yellow in colour. The machine is valued at approximately $3,200.

Dufferin OPP is seeking the assistance of the public to identify the suspects involved in this theft.
