Dufferin Board of Trade and Humber College Partner to Deliver Organizational Sustainability Plan for the 110-Year-Old Business Association

Dufferin ON, November 20, 2018: The Dufferin Board of Trade (DBOT) and Humber College Business School have partnered to develop an organizational sustainability plan for DBOT to maintain its relevancy in a complex, challenging, and ever-changing environment. Founded as the Orangeville Board of Trade in 1909, DBOT has remained a non-profit, membership organization supporting business in Dufferin County.

The Organization is developing a plan to be responsive to the needs of business. The plan will outline how DBOT can take a lead role on driving local economic prosperity by connecting business and leading stakeholders and offering quality, timely and accessible programs, services and resources that support the development and growth of business.

As part of the organizational sustainability plan for DBOT, the Humber School of Business is launching the Dufferin Business Issues Survey running from November 20th until November 30th. The survey is open to all businesses operating in Dufferin.

Recognizing the diverse characteristics and interests of business, DBOT will use the survey results to focus its resources to those activities that offer high impact for business and the business community and best ensures that the organization maximizes its leadership role for and on behalf of business in Dufferin.

"We are optimistic for the future of our already strong organization and look forward to working with the highly experienced and respected team at the Humber College Business School to develop a plan for the organization as we progress." Pete Renshaw, Chair of DBOT, said. "I encourage all businesses, regardless of size or sector, to participate in the survey to help us to identify and better understand the issues facing our business community."

The DBOT Organizational Sustainability Plan is set to be completed by mid-December 2018 and will help to carry the Organization forward for the foreseeable future. The Dufferin Business Issues Survey can be found at https://dufferinbot.ca/survey/  and will be open from November 20th until November 30th.
