CVC - Flood Watch Cancelled - Water Safety Statement in Effect - Message #3

Gauging stations in and around our watershed showed over 90mm of precipitation in the form of rain, sleet, and snow fell during the winter storm that occurred Thursday April 12th to Monday April 16th.

Watercourses in the watershed have peaked and are currently slowly receding with no significant precipitation expected within the next few days. Stream and river levels remain higher than normal and as a result, are dangerous, especially in the vicinity of culverts, bridges, and dams. Children should be warned to stay away from all watercourses.

CVC will continue to closely monitor weather and water levels in the watershed.  This Watershed Conditions Statement - Water Safety will be in effect until Sunday April 22, 2018 or until further notice.
